Who We Are

"In honor of Peter Andresen, a loyal friend and stalwart BidGive benefactor and supporter who has been there from the beginning. Thank you. We will miss you."

BidGive was founded by a group of seasoned business professionals interested in philanthropy, and in developing ways for humanitarian organizations to secure sustainable revenue streams and capital. Many of these groups spend too much time and energy constantly begging for funding instead of doing their good works. And most do not possess the expertise and knowledge to design and manage such programs for their benefit.

Some of BidGive’s programs are proprietary and open to any not-for-profit (NFP) or charitable group, including our Aggregated Purchasing Program and our Merchant Services Program.

With the Aggregated Purchasing Program, associated members wishing to support various national NFPs are aggregated into a “co-op” by and through BidGive for negotiating leverage to purchase various goods and services at substantial discounts. The goods and services providers agree to provide discounts to the program participants and to share a portion of the revenues generated with Bidgive, which in turn shares a part of the proceeds with the NFPs of the associated members.

The Merchant Services Program allows associated members, merchants and businesses, to enroll through BidGive to obtain a merchant account, and to process all their credit and debit card transactions through BidGive’s merchant vendor partners. These vendor partners, in turn, agree to provide lower cost processing to the merchants and businesses and to share the net revenue fees generated from each transaction with BidGive, which distributes a share to the designated NFPs.

Some of BidGive’s projects are stand-alone business ventures and programs for specific NFPs, governing bodies, and NGOs, such as:

  • DotCom Film Festival (DCFF) – supporting the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, the United Nations’ FilmAid, film schools, and local charities.
  • United Nations’ MDG Awards – a global telecast and awards gala (a cross between the Academy Awards and the Kennedy Honors) supporting the United Nations’ and world body’s recognition of the numerous entities and individuals around the globe furthering humanitarian efforts.
  • Shaolin/Kingbridge Wellness Centre and Tea Room – supporting the Shaolin Monks of Henan, China and their outreach programs to lead the world in living in physical and spiritual harmony.

Each of these projects were conceived and developed by BidGive for a specific client. In every project, BidGive receives development and management fees, as well as equity interests.
